Platform-Specific Features

This section describes the Platform-specific features available in Hubble Desktop. These features leverage cloud-based services and integrated content to streamline workflows and improve productivity. New features are added with each release; refer to the release notes for details of what was introduced in each version.

Note: All features in this section require Platform authentication and are not available in Standard version installations. Administrators should ensure that users have the appropriate Platform license type and permissions before use.

Content Packs in Hubble Desktop

Hubble Desktop includes integrated content packs for Platform users, providing you with immediate access to pre-built, ready-to-use reports. These content packs reduce manual reporting effort and enable faster business insights with minimal setup time. Each content pack contains pre-configured reports with working drilldowns and data mappings for a specific business process.

The following content packs are available:

  • Order to Cash - available from Hubble Desktop version 25.4 and later
  • Purchase to Pay - available from Hubble Desktop version 26.1 and later

Note: Content packs require Platform authentication and are not available in Standard version installations. Administrators should ensure that users have the appropriate Platform license type and permissions to access these features.

Accessing a Content Pack

To access a content pack:

  1. Log in to Hubble Desktop as a Platform user.
  2. Navigate to the Documents section in the Hubble Administrator tool.
  3. Locate the relevant content pack folder in the documents tree:
    • Order to Cash Content Packs
    • Purchase to Pay Content Packs
  4. Expand the folder to view the available pre-built reports.

Content packs are automatically imported during the first login after installation, making them immediately available for use.

Working with Content Pack Reports

Content pack reports are designed to be ready-to-use but can be customized to meet your specific business requirements.

  • Reports can be run immediately without additional configuration.
  • Drilldowns and data mappings are pre-configured to ensure accurate data navigation across all reports in the pack.
  • To preserve the original pre-built reports, save any modifications as new copies.
  • When you attempt to update an existing content pack report, the system prompts you to create a new copy, keeping the original report unchanged.
  • Custom copies can be saved to any folder outside the content pack structure.

Content Pack Permissions

  • By default, content pack folders have restricted permissions to preserve report integrity.
  • You can view and run reports within the content packs according to your assigned roles.
  • Modification of original content pack reports is restricted; you must create copies for customization.
  • Administrative permissions are required to manage content pack folder settings.

Important Notes

  • Content packs are automatically updated during major version upgrades to ensure you have access to the latest report templates.
  • Renaming or moving content pack folders is not recommended, as this may affect automatic updates, drilldown references, and data mappings.
  • Custom reports created from content pack templates remain independent and are not affected by content pack updates.
  • Content packs require Platform authentication and are not available in Standard version installations.

Order to Cash Content Pack

The Order to Cash content pack provides pre-built reports covering key Order to Cash business processes, including customer orders, shipments, invoicing, and receivables. It is available from Hubble Desktop version 25.4 and later.

Purchase to Pay Content Pack

The Purchase to Pay content pack provides pre-built reports covering key Purchase to Pay business processes, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts, supplier invoices, and payments. It is available from Hubble Desktop version 26.1 and later.
