Hubble v26.3 Release Notes
This topic describes the new features, enhancements, and resolved issues for Hubble v26.3.
New Features in Hubble 26.3
Usage and Governance Reports in Platform Mode
Hubble Platform mode now includes Usage and Governance Reports, giving administrators centralized, on-demand visibility into user activity, module adoption, report performance, and Virtual View dependencies across Desktop, Web, and Scheduler.
For details on using Usage and Governance Reports, see the Administration and Configuration Guide.
Note: This feature is available in Platform mode only.
ISW Financial Content Packs in Platform Version
ISW Financial Reports content packs are now available directly within Hubble for Platform users. After signing in to the Hubble Administrator tool, navigate to Documents to access the Financial content packs, which run with correct drilldowns and data mappings.
When a user updates an existing pack or report, Hubble prompts the user to save a new copy and keeps the original report intact.
For information on accessing and managing content packs, see the Administration and Configuration Guide.
Note: This feature is available in the Platform version of Hubble only.
Diagnostics Package Download in Hubble Web
Hubble Web now includes a Download Diagnostics Package option in the side panel. System administrators and support engineers can generate and download a single ZIP file containing web application logs, configuration files, IIS logs, and Windows Event Viewer entries.
Generating a package requires IIS permissions configured on the web server in advance.
For details, see the Web User Guide and the Administration and Configuration Guide.
Oracle Wallet Security Support for Oracle Autonomous Database
Hubble now supports Oracle Wallet security when connecting to Oracle Autonomous Database for ERP database connections. Administrators can set a Custom Path for the wallet file and use a Delete option to remove an uploaded wallet from the connection form.
For details on configuring an Oracle Wallet connection, see the Administration and Configuration Guide.
Note: This feature applies to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) Oracle environments. Hubble repository source connections are not supported.
Enhancements
The following table outlines the feature enhancements included in Hubble Version 26.3.
Jira Reference |
Title |
Description |
|---|---|---|
Pre-upgrade compatibility check utility |
A new utility checks that prerequisite software and configuration are in place before a Hubble Desktop or Web upgrade begins, helping administrators identify and resolve compatibility gaps in advance. |
|
License validation at Hubble Desktop sign-in |
Hubble Desktop now validates the license against the Platform Portal at sign-in and blocks access when no valid license exists. A cached access token avoids repeated sign-in prompts, and environments where Platform is not enabled continue to use the existing sign-in flow. |
|
Platform-driven module tooltips in license assignment |
The License Assignment screen now displays a tooltip for modules assigned through the Platform, indicating that the license is managed by the Platform and cannot be changed directly in Hubble. |
Resolved Issues
The following table lists the issues resolved in Hubble Version 26.3.
Jira Reference |
Title |
Description |
|---|---|---|
Role Chooser access error (Desktop) |
An issue where the Role Chooser in Hubble Desktop denied environment access after selecting a role other than All, for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) environments using role-based security, is now resolved. |
|
Budget form values not retained (Budgeting) |
An issue where changes to the Description and Data Field 2 values on the Strategic Planning (DX) budget form were not retained after Save and Continue or Finish is now resolved. |
|
Reply To address not honored (Scheduler OAuth) |
An issue where scheduled report emails sent through OAuth did not honor the Reply To address configured in the task email settings, and used the default sender address instead, is now resolved. |
|
Localization settings missing (User Preferences) |
An issue where the Localization section did not appear in User Preferences for sessions originating from certain office locations is now resolved. |
|
Incorrect fx function inserted (Calculation Editor) |
An issue where selecting String (Dynamic) from the fx function picker in the calculation editor inserted String(<COLUMNID>) instead of DynamicString(<COLUMNID>), causing the column identifier to appear in the report results instead of the converted value, is now resolved. |
|
DynamicString conversion failure (DX Report) |
An issue where the DynamicString() function in the DX Report calculation engine did not convert numeric column values to their string representation, and returned a character set mismatch error on some Oracle environments, is now resolved. |
|
Error editing Run As tab (Scheduler) |
An issue where editing the Run As tab on a Scheduled Inquiry Task returned an error for specific user and role combinations is now resolved. |
