End User Testing
General Testing Information
It is strongly encouraged to test all reports, focusing on the accuracy and completeness of the most important ones. If additional time for testing is needed, support can extend the temporary key upon request by creating a new case.
If the new version includes bug fixes or enhancements that have been anticipated, test to confirm the bug is fixed as expected and that the new functionality is understood. Reach out to support if needed by creating a ticket.
Additional Hubble Installs
After completing the initial upgrade steps, follow these steps for all subsequent Hubble installs for the same version. These steps apply to installations on desktops, Citrix, or Windows Terminal Servers.
Confirm Technical Requirements: Ensure the machine meets the Minimum Technical Requirements, as referenced in the Additional Resources section.
Install the Software: Follow the instructions in the section titled Install the software to a new folder location.
Copy Configuration File: Copy the
RepositorySelection.xmlfile from the initial install to the new Hubble install path created in the previous step.
ClickOnce Installation
If ClickOnce is used, only one version can be installed per machine. For ClickOnce users to test, the following options are recommended:
Coordinate with the IT department to set up a remote desktop connection (RDP) so end users can remote in to test.
Install the latest version on select users' workstations, allowing them to have ClickOnce for the current Hubble version and a full install of Hubble for the latest version.
Citrix Servers
Hubble can also be installed on Citrix servers as needed.
