Installation Process

The following steps outline the process for installing the new version of the software in parallel to the current version, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption.

Install the software to a new folder location

1. Rename any Hubble short cuts on the program menu to Hubble . This prevents the Hubble short cuts from being overwritten during the installation.

2. Confirm the machine meets the Minimum Technical Requirements, as referenced in the Additional Resources section.

3. Start the installation process for the latest Hubble software from the MSI provided, as an administrator if required:

   1. Download the MSI file to the machine where it will be installed.

   2. Right-click on the downloaded file and select Install.

   3. Click Next on the Welcome screen of the Setup Wizard.

   4. Select the Installation Scope of Install for all users of this machine and click Next.

   5. On the Destination Folder screen, change the location to a different location from the currently installed version of Hubble . A simple naming convention is to create a folder named after the version of the Hubble application being installed.

      

   6. After adding the new location, click Next.

   7. Choose the setup type Complete.

   8. Click the Install button to start the installation process.

   9. If a pop-up appears asking, "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" and the verified publisher is insightsoftware, LLC, select Yes.

   10. Click Finish.

4. Rename the Program Menu Name from Hubble to the specific version name to distinguish one version from the other:

   1. Right-click on the Program Menu name, then click More > Open File Location.

      

   2. From there, rename the shortcut to include the Hubble release, as desired, by highlighting the Hubble version and selecting Rename from the right-click menu.
